Azure Beach Villa is a modern and spacious 3 bedroom villa sleeping up to 8. Part of a small complex in the hamlet of Nopigia, Western Crete. This beach front resort has been awarded the “Best Development in Greece 2008” . Set in the midst of olive groves and vineyards and built on the coastline at Kissamos it blends classic Cretan architecture with modern sophistication. It is quiet but not isolated.
The villa shares a pool with 4 others. It has a large open plan living/dining/kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped to the highest standard and there is an extendable dining table. In the bright and airy living room there are two sofa’s which turn into single beds, flat screen LCD TV, DVD player with DVD’s and board games, ipod docking station.
There are 3 equal sized bedrooms, 2 with double beds and one with twin single beds. All have sliding doors onto a patio with open slatted wooden pergola above, with a swimming pool view. Each bedroom has a large wardrobe with integral drawers, separate dressing table with mirror and stool and bedside cabinets. All bedrooms and the living room have A/C units (& heating). There is one bathroom with shower over bath and one shower room both of which have a toilet, wash hand basin and mirror & light.
Outside there is a shared swimming pool (47m2) surrounded by a large terrace. Sun beds, loungers and table & chairs are all provided. Alfresco dining can be enjoyed on the covered patios or on the extensive flat top, tiled roof offering partial views of the bay and the surrounding hills/country side. There is a private landscaped garden surrounding the property with garden shed and areas for parking and ball games. There is an outdoor shower.
The Area
The property is within walking distance of 3 Tavernas and a small minimarket at the local camp site, Camping Nopigia, which welcomes guests to use the pool at no charge and has a nice outside Taverna. The surrounding area should not be missed and therefore a car is highly recommended. By car, is the famous sandy beach of Falasarna just 20 minutes away, the Samaira Gorge 45 minutes, Limnopoulis Water Park 30 minutes. Cosmopolitan Chania Town Center with winding alleys full of boutiques and famous restaurant lined harbour-side 30 minutes, Kournos fresh water lake 50 minutes. 10 minutes drive away is the atmospheric harbour town of Kissamos/Kastelli where there are a number of supermarkets (Carrefour), banks, post office, and medical centre. The beach closest to the villa is partly sand and partly pebbly, however, as you enter the water your grateful feet will find soft, luxuriant sand, gently shelving out to the sea for as far as you can walk! There is a sandy beach just 500m away. The bus stop is just 50m from the villa and runs every 30 minutes to both Chania and Kissamos. Kolymbari, just 10 minutes drive, has a wonderful harbour with plenty of good Tavernas.
Car Hire available who will arrange meet and greet at the airport (|Chania and Heraklion) or deliver to the villa.
